Jager Ginger Lime

It seems everybody has a Jägermeister story to tell. Whether it's drinking it neat or mixing it with an energy drink, most of us have had Jäger or two. We've mixed things up and paired Jäger with ginger beer and topped it off nicely with a wedge of lime. Try it, we think you'll like it.

Quick Guide

Jager Ginger Lime

What is it?
A herbal-flavoured bitter German liqueur, made from a blend of over 50 herbs, fruits and spices. It is then sweetened with ginger-flavoured soda.

Where is it from?
Jägermeister hails from Germany. The name Jägermeister literally translates to "master of hunters." It was a title for a high-ranking official in charge of matters related to hunting. While it’s roots are entrenched in German history it is enjoyed worldwide.

What does it taste like?
Jägermeister has a bitter taste. It should be served icy cold to tame its assertive herbal flavour. It is popular as a straight shot and also mixed with energy drinks.

Tip

A shot glass of Jägermeister dropped into a glass of energy drink is known as a Jägerbomb. In Northern Europe, a Jägerbomb is Jägermeister dropped into a glass of beer. We’ve experimented with Jägermeister and ginger beer, you may also like it mixed with orange soda or tonic water.
